If you know of anyone in Detroit city government, QUICK send them this link. The Rockefeller Foundation is funding a Chief Resilience Officer in 100 cities around the world and DETROIT SHOULD BE ONE OF THEM! Resilience in a city is like a healthy immune system in a person: it helps to ward off minor illnesses and recover quickly from major ones. And the 21st century is going to throw a lot of bad things at cities. It would be reassuring to think that our city has a person on staff who does nothing but IMAGINE DISASTER and how to recover from it. (Wouldn't that be a great monthly Meetup: Imagine Disaster?)
